We’re excited to welcome another Jared to our team! Jared Hall is joining Nature Center staff as the new Natural Resource Supervisor. Jared brings a wealth of experience in natural resource management, ecological restoration, and wildlife research to his new role — and he’s already hit the ground running.
Jared holds both a B.S. and an M.S. from Tarleton State University in natural resource-related fields. His tenure at Tarleton focused on gamebird ecology in Texas, and he has contributed to several scientific publications. He’s also been involved in international fieldwork, including a wildlife study abroad in Southern Africa.
Before joining the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, Jared served two years as the Natural Resource Specialist for the City of Fort Worth Park and Recreation Department, Park Operations Division. Prior to working for the City, he worked in natural resource management in the public and private sectors. His background encompasses a range of experiences, including prescribed burn planning and field crew leadership, as well as developing restoration plans and engaging in public education efforts. Jared is also a Certified and Insured Prescribed Burn Manager, among other certifications.
Beyond his technical skills, Jared is passionate about making natural spaces accessible and resilient through thoughtful stewardship and science-based practices. Whether he’s coordinating volunteers, managing restoration projects, or responding to community questions about local habitats, Jared’s energy, knowledge, and collaborative spirit will be a true asset.
Outside of work, Jared enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Cameron, their son, Weston, and two chocolate labs, Daisy and Bailey.
