My name is Teil Anderson, and I have recently joined the wonderful team at the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge. I have enjoyed hiking the trails here since I was about five years old, and the Nature Center has continued to provide me with a safe space to explore and truly heal by being in nature. This beautiful place has also allowed me to endure backpacking trips by training on the rigorous Canyon Ridge Trail, which is my favorite trail. I am so thankful for the opportunity to grow and learn in this field while I continue my schooling to earn a Wildlife Resource Management degree. I also hope to inspire others, especially women, to hit the trails and preserve the natural world around us. My career interests match my daily activities: I LOVE hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, trail running, cycling, and everything about biology, along with my dog companion, Luna, who joins me for all these adventures.
